In this list of top starts (derived from Dodge Data & Analytics ), Engineering News Record (ENR) lists the top 50 project starts in the mountain region. The mountain region includes Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana, but it is noteworthy that 31 out of the 50 top starts are in the State of Colorado. As a result of its hot residential and land development construction markets, its overwhelming influx of new residents, and its draw for millennial jobseekers, Colorado sprouted some of the nation’s most unique projects in 2015. For example, the Oxford Station Transit Oriented Development (TOD) (top start #42) includes residential, industrial, warehouse, office, and commercial facilities at an in-fill site that is adjacent to Denver’s RTD light rail system . The project provides a critical urban element to the fast-growing City of Englewood market place, catering to Colorado millennials and new Colorado transplants who want to be close to Downtown Denver, as well as a stone’s throw from the gorgeous Colorado mountains. The project includes Littleton Capital Partners as the owner/developer, Catamount Constructors for construction, and Calibre Engineering for all civil engineering.
